Rope Bondage

Rope bondage, done well, is an art. It requires dedication and far more patience than I seem to possess. I can, and do, a small amount of rope bondage, but it is very limited. I asked the question in a previous blog, Which Type of Bondage is My Favourite? and here are my thought on rope.

CBT

My first and favourite form of rope bondage is the very simple and effective ball tying, especially with the balls being separated from each other and the body. The trick is to tie the cock and balls and then twist the rope up between the balls and tie them off. The pull adds to the lack of control and pleasure and isolates each part of the male genitalia so I can access them easily. I don't always use rope for this, stockings are very effective too.

My other favourite, although I haven't done it for years, is to carefully wrap the cock up with rope, and then pull it firmly and quickly causing the penis to mimic a helicopter propellor. That used to make me laugh so much. Comical for me, but incredibly concerning for the male supplicant.

Hogtie

Another easy, simple, but effective rope use is a hog tie. Loop rope between the wrists, and then tie rope around the loops causing them to tighten and bind. Repeat for the ankles. Lay the sub on their front and then bring up the ankles and wrists and bind them together by tieing the wrist and ankle ties.

I had a client who was really into steel bondage because it was more real. He was very dismissive of rope and suggested that it was easy to get out of. Oh really? I quickly put him down onto the floor in a full hog tie. He rocked around on his front as he tried in vain to free his wrists and ankles. I asked him again to explain to me why steel is more secure as a form of bondage, than rope.

He still prefers steel, he just has a lot more respect for rope.

Materials

Rope comes in a variety of materials from the natural browns of hemp and jute to brightly coloured cotton, silk, or polyester and super smooth bamboo. Choice is often down to preference. Try a few materials and see what you like. I have some jute and hemp, and I also have some smaller cotton ropes for CBT.

You can find an amazing selection of rope at Esinem Rope.

Shibari

Rope isn't really my thing and as I'm a bit of a perfectionist, I knew that to be fully satisfied with my own rope skills I would have to study and practise hard. I am in awe when I see the galleries created by the genuine experts like my good friend MsTytania. Rope on the floor is one thing, but look how amazing it is when used with suspension.

Have you ever tried rope?
